SUNRISE
ASAP's day program provides educational, recreational and therapeutic
activities for individuals of all ages and on all levels of the autism spectrum.
In keeping with ASAP's central
philosophy, a specific program is developed for each individual based on their
interests and skills. Activity choices include light cooking, laundering
of clothes, sensory activities, computer time and individualized educational
instruction.
Sunrise participants may also
access Rainbow Farms to develop gardening skills and caring for animals.
Participants at Sunrise are actively involved in the community and we take trips
to museums, libraries, beaches, aquariums, etc. we enjoy cooking, visiting
Woodberry Wellness Center, we volunteer at the Food Bank, we attend dances at
the BPO and the Elks Lodge and many more activites.
The primary focus of ASAP is to
provide enjoyable, meaningful activities for every person who is involved in our
programs; staff and participants alike.
